My love for Norrbotten

“I love hiking in the mountains and forests and get a lot of inspiration from spending time in the nature. I feel like a guest in the landscape and this series is like a declaration of love.”

About the project

‘My love for Norrbotten’ is a series of black and white photopolymer prints, using photopolymer as the graphical technique. I have printed processed photographs, both close-ups and of landscapes, that I have taken somewhere in Norrbotten. I hike a lot in the mountains and the forest and get a lot of inspiration from spending time in nature. I feel like a guest in the landscape and this series is like a declaration of love.

The basis for photopolymer are my own photographs. I process the photos into a graphical plate striving for the mood or the view I want.

The photopolymer is printed 28cm x 28cm on paper 50cm x 50cm, and each print is available in an edition of twelve.

Some images have a text, such as ´Stáddajåhkå´:
¨On an autumn hike in Padjelanta. That day I had hiked almost thirty kilometers in the mountains. It was well into autumn with snow settling on the peaks along a horizontal line. When I get to the cabin, barely visible through the snow, it’s like coming home, to safety.¨
